TEATERUGE

From the 23rd until the 27th Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium will be celebrating theatre with the community of Holstebro. 

The theatre will open its doors to the youngest ones the 23rd, 24th and 25th, welcoming all the children to come and see Ikarus Stage Art performing the Town Musician of Bremen and Echoes of Celebration for free. 

The 26th and 27th the group will present both their theatrical concerts Metamorfosis and Echoes of Celebration in order to close this theatre week. Everyone in town is invited to come and enjoy an evening full of music, theatre and laughter.

METAMORPHOSIS

Metamorphosis is a journey through the East.
With Rodrigo Contreras at the cimbalom and Zuzana Durikova as main vocalist, the ensemble of Ikarus Stage Arts is now confronted with balkan music.
This theatrical concert is filled with the joy, the intensity and, sometimes, the melancholy of the Eastern-European countries, as well as with some elements from clown, that will help to comform the structure of the piece.

ECHOES OF CELEBRATION

Echoes of celebration is a theatrical concert that wants to celebrate life, express gratitude through songs and create a space to remember those who are no longer among us.
In all cultures baptisms, weddings and funerals are the most important celebrations in society. Amongst these common rituals and manifestations, the singing voice, as an instrument, has always been an important form of expression.
This performance will try to recreate old traditions using poems, dance and music from all around the world (European, Latin American, Balkan music…)
