ILDFLUEFEST
In the past years Ikarus Stage Arts has been working on the creation of strong connections between the city of Holstebro, Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium and Trekanten.
In 2020 we decided to create Ildfluefest as an answer to the need of creating better relations between artists and the citizens. As a young group we decided to take our activities to different places of town and involving the community, especially children and young people.
The aim of Ildfluefest is to organise an open cultural festival that enables new meetings and celebrates the community through art and cultural experiences. In our festival, people of all ages and from different cultures meet during some days and share their art, joy, food and stories.
Our aims
- To establish Ildfluefest as a key event in Holstebro and Denmark by bringing different expression forms, cultural activities and high quality performances into the urban space.
- To develop connections and open the road for future exchanges between the main collaborators and international partners
- Create solid encounters between:
- Artists and the local community of Holstebro.
- The residents of Holstebro and the community of Trekanten.
- Local artists, companies from Denmark and international groups.
- Strengthen the bridge of collaboration between these three central points:
Citizens of Holstebro /Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium / Community of Trekanten.
