ILDFLUEFEST 2021

The second edition invited both local and artists from different danish cities like Copenhagen, Viborg and Århus. The kids from Ildflueakademiet were an important presence in the Festival. The community of Trekanten organised a Loop market and street food kiosks with food from different countries

We enjoyed together a big celebration with the community.

Day 1

Parade at Holstebro centre

Ikarus Stage Arts performed INVASION, a lively parade led by a herd of cheerful and colorful unicorns through the main street of Holstebro.

Trekanten

At Trivselshuset, a PARADE and a PLAY TIME were made. The children enjoyed games, jumped the rope, played chair percussion, painted, drew and built flags.

Day 2

Welcome to our theatre
The theatre opened their doors to receive the community of Trekanten. They got the opportunity to get to know the facilities, play fun games and watch performances.

Day 3

The big street party

The program during the day consisted of performances of all kinds, by both professionals and amateurs, on an outdoor stage: rappers, folk dancers, modern dancers, young and old musicians, percussion with dance and theater.

We also made other activities:

  • Painting a huge mural on the stage and exhibiting some of the work from Ildflueakademiet.
  • Flea market, food stalls and face painting.

Creating networks

Social Acting, an EU-project about exchanging the experiences and knowledge artists gain through community projects, had a chance to experience the festival. Partners from Greece, Poland, Portugal and Romania visited us in the last edition.
